Terms and Conditions

 

These terms and conditions apply to any and all activities and accommodations taking place at Adrenalin Adventure Park. The activities we offer at Adrenalin Adventure Park can be dangerous due to the environment they are in and their physicality. Please be aware that accidents can and do happen. Even though we take every reasonably practicable precaution to ensure your safety and enjoyment, there is always a risk of injury. Here the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Adrenalin Adventure Park LTD, and also where applicable, it's members, director(s), employees, volunteers, contractors, agents and representatives. The terms “you”, and “your” refer to the Person or Individual signing any Waiver, Contract, and Release of Liability Agreement with us and also where applicable, any minor children under your supervision while on our premises. These Terms and Conditions limit Adrenalin Adventure Park LTD’s liability, henceforth referred to as Adrenalin Adventure Park, and define your rights and obligations. So please take your time to read carefully, making sure that you understand before signing; by making a booking or purchasing a ticket from us you willingly agree to be legally bound by all of the Terms and Conditions detailed in this document.

 

General entry requirements for our activities:

  • A supervising parent or guardian 18 years or over will be in the water with all minor children under 12 years, and the parent or guardian is to remain within visual and verbal contact of the child at all times
  • Age restrictions apply to some activities, minor children under the age of six years can not use the majority of the on-water inflatable features and obstacles - A separate Child-Only Obstacle Course is provided for them
  • The minimum age to participate in Cable Wakeboarding is six years and Parental or Guardian consent is required
  • When taking part in our On-Water Activities, including but not limited to the Inflatable Obstacle Course, Wakeboard Cable System, Water Trampoline, Paddle Boards, Kayaks and Water Slides, Participants will wear a properly fitted life-jacket at all times
  • No pushing, shoving or excessively rough play - smaller children must always be given the right of way
  • Practice caution as the on-or-near-water activities can become wet, slippery and unstable
  • Our activities are only open for use during public opening hours (1100-1700 hours), when lifeguards are on duty
  • You will not participate in our activities while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medications which may negatively affect your ability to engage in our activities in a safe manner
  • You participate at your own risk - in order to participate in any of the activities we offer, you will sign our Waiver, Contract, and Release of Liability Agreement(s) and accept our Terms and Conditions
  • All Participants will listen and adhere to the safety rules and all staff instructions when participating in any of our activities and while on our premises; and
  • Being in good health, good physical condition, and being a competent swimmer is highly recommended, please inform staff and life-guards if you have any concerns with your health, physical condition or swimming ability
  • You willingly agree to comply with all regulations, failure by others to enforce your adherence to the rules does not negate your responsibility to follow the rules, your non-compliance may result in disciplinary measures including verbal and written warnings, removal from the premises with no refund, and in extreme cases trespass notices may be issued and enforced

Prices

All of our prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars. All prices are inclusive of New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST). We reserve the right to change the prices of all of our activities and services provided at any time and without prior notice. Any tickets or bookings made at the previous rates will be honored and no extra charges will apply.

Waiver, Contract, and Release of Liability Agreements

You are required to sign our Waiver, Contract, and Release of Liability Agreement for any activity you are participating in, or accommodation you are staying in. This applies to every activity or accommodation that we offer. Adults, persons and individuals aged 18 years or over, are required to sign their own Waiver, Contract, and Release of Liability Agreement. Minors, persons and individuals under the age of 18, are required to be signed for by their supervising parent or guardian. This document creates a legally binding agreement so please read carefully and completely. If you do not understand any of the sections in the Waiver, Contract, and Release of Liability Agreement form(s), or Terms and Conditions, or have any questions, please ask before signing your consent. All Participants must sign the aforementioned documents, refusal to sign means that you will not be able to participate in our activities, or stay in our accommodations.

Safety Briefing

All participants will listen to our safety briefing before participating in any of the activities We offer. We encourage you to present any questions or concerns to a member of our staff before commencement of any activity.

Gift Cards & Vouchers

Once a gift card or voucher has been purchased, the gift card or voucher may not be canceled or extended beyond the original expiry date that is assigned upon issue.

Parking

Parking facilities are available on-site, vehicles and private property are left at the owner’s risk. This is an area in which only minimal security may be provided; the same precautions against crime should be exercised here as anywhere else. We recommend you lock your valuables in the glove-box or boot of your vehicle, or otherwise out of sight from the outside. Adrenalin Adventure Park takes no responsibility for your vehicle or private property. Vehicles and private property should only be parked in the area(s) dedicated for parking. We also provide limited spaces for disabled parking. We reserve the right to request you to move your vehicle or private property at any time should you fail to park in the area(s) reserved for parking, we also reserve the right to tow vehicles and private property at the owner’s expense.

The Day Pass

Includes the use of the On-Water Inflatable Obstacle Course(s), the Blob, On-Water Trampolines, Water-Slides and Towers, Paddle-Boarding, Kayaking, Basketball Connect-Four and Volleyball. All activities are subject to availability on the day, as well as participant age and supervision requirements being met. A day pass purchased allows you to arrive at your chosen time within our open hours. Please note that you are paying for the full day, no refunds, discounts, or compensation will be issued due to your late arrival time.

Life-jackets

We supply life-jackets but you are also welcome to bring your own. Our life-jackets are provided as is. Our staff will assess if the life-jacket’s condition is fit for use. In the event that the equipment you've rented is not operating as it should or has any problems, please inform a staff member immediately. When taking part in our on-water activities, or when you are on or in the lake for any reason, you agree to wear a properly-fitted life-jacket at all times.

Wakeboard Cable System

All Participants are required to act in accordance with the Cable Park Safety Rules and Responsibility Code, all terms and conditions mentioned in the Adrenalin Adventure Park Wakeboard Cable System Waiver, Contract, and Release of Liability Agreement, as well as avoiding all mentioned behaviors listed as Strictly Prohibited Behaviors. All participants must also acknowledge, understand and adhere to all notices, signage and staff instructions while participating or on our premises. We provide the equipment required for cable wakeboarding, including life-jacket, wake-board, boots, bindings, and helmet. In the event that any of the equipment you've rented is not operating as it should or has any problems, please inform a staff member or the cable operator immediately. Please note that we also have wake-skates available, if preferred.

Alcohol & Other substances

Our park must never be used while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medications which may negatively affect your ability to engage in our activities safely. We reserve the right to request you to leave the park with no refund in the case of violation of this term.

Smoking

We are a smoke-free park. This includes cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes and other smokeable or inhalant substances.

Clothing

It is entirely your responsibility to ensure that you dress appropriately for your activity and weather conditions on the day. We do not offer clothing, hats, sunglasses, togs or wetsuits for hire or sale.

Dogs or Other Pets

We do not allow dogs or other pets to enter the park as Adrenalin Adventure Park is located at a close proximity to a kiwi reserve. Only guide-dogs are allowed on our premises and they must be kept on a leash at all times. We also do not tolerate pets left in vehicles on a hot summer day so please ensure you leave them at home.

Refunds, Closures and Weather

Weather can have a strong effect on the activities we offer at Adrenalin Adventure Park. Our objective is to stay open unless doing so is a hazard to any one on our premises. In general we have a no-refund policy, however if we are closed and unable to operate for any reason we will be happy to re-book reserved tickets or prior bookings for a later date. We reserve the right to close down in part or full any of our activities without prior notice due to safety concerns, be it operational, environmental or otherwise, we also may close early due to high winds, floods and electrical storms or other emergencies such as fires. In the case of unforeseen closures due to any of the aforementioned factors or otherwise, we reserve the right to assess whether or not to administer discounts or gift cards based on severity. If evacuation is required you agree to leave your location immediately via the safest route and assemble at the designated emergency assembly point in the car park.

Rentals and Equipment

We understand that normal wear and tear occurs. However, any damage from misuse, recklessness or improper care will be charged for, the charge will include the repair fee as well as any quotes or assessments required (where applicable). In the event of lost, stolen or irreparable rental equipment, you will be charged for the full rate of the equipment at its public purchase price (RRP). In the event that the equipment you've rented is not operating as it should or has any problems, please inform a staff member immediately.

Private Bookings

School, corporate and other groups can book a day at Adrenalin Adventure Park whether it be a day out on the Obstacle Course or Cable Wakeboarding. Private bookings are available on the days we are not open to the public in November, December, February, March and April. All dates are subject to availability and are booked on a first-in, first-serve basis. You may share your time at the park with other groups, depending on the size of your group, and we reserve the right to merge group bookings without prior notice.

 

Private bookings are considered confirmed once we have issued a confirmation, receipt or invoice for your booking - this may be a physical or electronic document. The confirmation or other correspondence you have had with us electronically should include the details necessary to you. If you come across any typographical clerical error or omission or other error in your booking confirmation or other documents, please let us know immediately so this can be amended. We reserve the right to make amendments without liability on the part of Adrenalin Adventure Park. We take all actions within our control to ensure your activity commences at the time booked. Events beyond our control may result in your booking being rescheduled. It is entirely your responsibility to ensure you arrive in sufficient time for any bookings. Late arrivals may not be permitted to undertake the activity booked and no refunds or compensation will be payable in such circumstances. If you miss the start time due to reasons outside your control, then it will be at the discretion of the manager on duty as to whether the late arrival will be accommodated.

 

Please note that schools and other private groups with minor children are responsible for meeting an appropriate adult to child ratio on the water, for example this is commonly a 1:6 ratio, but groups with special needs may need as much as a 1:1 ratio.

Payment for Private Bookings

We typically require payment in full before the day of the booking. Invoicing after the date of the booking can be requested in some situations, however a payment for a minimum of 30 swimmers to secure your booking will be necessary and any cancellations made 14 days (or less) prior the booking date will be nonrefundable. Please request late payments when organizing the booking so we have a reasonable time period to assess your request. In case of late payment a minimum payment for 30 swimmers will also apply.

Online bookings and online tickets

Cancellations

This cancellation policy applies to activities and services that have a fixed time booked. Does not apply to day passes or gift cards. Excluding private bookings for school, corporate and other groups. See Payment for Private Bookings for cancellation policy for these.

  • Cancellations 14 days or more prior to booking will receive a 100% refund
  • Cancellations within 14 days of booking will receive 50% refund

Photographs and videos

We love seeing our customers enjoying their time at our park and we want to share it. Please be aware that all participants grant to Adrenalin Adventure Park, its directors, owners, employees, officers and volunteers the right to take photographs and videos of them and their property in connection with Adrenalin Adventure Park. You authorize Adrenalin Adventure Park and third parties contracted by us to copyright, use and publish photographs and videos in print and/or electronically. You give us permission to use such photographs and images of you or any minors you are responsible for and your property without your/their name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content.

Accommodation

Our accommodation options include our Lakeside Dome Tent, Lakeside Cabin, Hillside Dome Tent and Forest Edge Dome Tent.

 

Minimum length of booking is overnight and all bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Check in is between the hours of 2pm and 10pm, and check out is by 10:30am. Guests arriving after 5pm must notify us by calling. Please ask in advance if you wish to check out later than 10:30am, additional fees may apply - guests checking out later than 10:30am without prior notice will be charged a late check out fee.

 

Our accommodations allow up to five people, the only exception being the Lakeside Cabin with a capacity of four guests, however please note that there is a two bed restriction - any further bedding will be limited to mattresses on the floor to best fit within the allowed space, you will need to notify us upon booking if more mattresses are required. For any extra mattresses provided, you will have to supply your own bedding.

 

BBQs are available outside each tent and cabin and also in the communal BBQ area. No kitchen appliances provided. Power is not available for our accomodation at this stage. Solar and battery powered lights are provided at the tents and cabins.

 

Please be aware that accommodation does not include the use of the Inflatable Obstacle Course or Wakeboarding Cable System. If you are paying only for accommodation, you will be able to use the paddle-boards, kayaks, basketball connect four after hours only (before 11 am, after 5 pm).

 

Parking is available for a maximum of 2 vehicles per tent or cabin. Please do not park on the road as it is a safety requirement that we keep a clear path to all areas for emergency vehicle access.

 

Please ensure you and your group are respectful of other guests. No noise after 10pm.

 

We will retain your credit card information until we have completed an inspection upon your departure as you are personally liable for covering any missing items or damages to the tent or cabin or furnishings. We reserve the right to charge you a fee covering the costs of repairing or replacing the item damaged or missing. Please notify staff if you notice any damages on your arrival.

 

Unfortunately, unless the accommodations are closed we will not refund bookings or rebook stays due to bad weather. We also cannot guarantee that the park activities will be open during your stay and we will not refund accommodation if the activities are closed due to bad weather as this is a health and safety requirement.

 

An accommodation Waiver, Contract, and Release of Liability Agreement form must be signed before arrival. Please ensure you have signed the applicable form(s).

 

Safety

Adrenalin Adventure Park reserves the right to refuse admittance to the activities or to remove you from our premises and from any activity or accommodation with no refund, should it be deemed necessary to do so. This includes but is not limited to non-compliance with the Safety Rules, Terms and Conditions, all provisions in the applicable Waiver, Contract, and Release of Liability Agreement, notices and signage, staff instructions and safety advice. Any violent or abusive behavior be it physical, verbal or otherwise is expressly prohibited while on our premises. Noncompliance, violence or abuse may also result in disciplinary measures including verbal and written warnings, bans, police intervention, and in severe cases trespass notices may be issued and enforced.

 

Responsibility for Emergency Care

You further consent to emergency transportation and treatment necessary in the event of injury or illness to you or your minor child arising out of any activity or stay at Adrenalin Adventure Park. You accept responsibility for the payment of any associated emergency transportation and treatment expenses and any subsequent medical bills, and release Adrenalin Adventure Park from providing this coverage to you. You agree to hold harmless Adrenalin Adventure Park from any costs incurred for any such emergency care and any subsequent medical care.

Limitation of Liability

Adrenalin Adventure Park LTD, it’s members, director(s), employees, volunteers, contractors, agents and representatives will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses of or to any property or to any person arising from the booking of or participation in our activities, with the exception of cases provided for in these Terms & Conditions.

Severability

You willingly agree that in the event any provision of our Terms and Conditions or Waiver, Contract, and Release of Liability Agreement is held or adjudicated to be contrary to any Act, Statute or Law, or otherwise unenforceable, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect and remain enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

 

Changes

The most recent version of our Terms and Conditions can always be found on our website. These Terms and Conditions may be amended at any time in order to maintain compliance with law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate and the way we require our customers to behave at our park. We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions without prior notice to you. It is your responsibility to read and understand these Terms and Conditions before agreeing to them.

 

Parental or Guardian Consent

When signing for minor children you certify that you are the parent or guardian with legal responsibility for the signed participant(s) and agree to his/her release. You have discussed the risks with the minor child in your care and your minor child fully understands the risks. You affirm that he/she is of such an age to qualify for participation and has the knowledge to understand the risks involved. You also agree to pay all court and other legal costs if you, your heirs, or assigns lose in a court action and agree to release Adrenalin Adventure Park, it’s members, director(s), employees, volunteers, contractors, agents and representatives from all liabilities resulting from his/her participation in these activities and or accommodations.
